Hi, folks. If you've spent any time looking at my work, you'll notice that I have an affinity for creating unique little monsters in metal. Monsters have been a part of my life since childhood. As a young boy, I loved collecting Wacky Packs and other monster trading cards and stickers. My Uncle Bruno was a big hot rod lover, and he exposed me early to Big Daddy Roth and all of his beautiful hot rod monster art. So, when I started making jewelry, it was only natural that my affection for monster art would seep into my own work.
I'm pretty sure this guy was my first monster piece:
I hand-crafted him from scratch from bronze and stainless sheet metal. I used gears and hardware to make the accents on this cuff. From there, I made more luxurious, high-end monster jewelry by incorporating leather, suede, and natural skins like python and alligator.
Here are 3 of my absolute favorite cuff bracelets that I made completely by hand. Each one took me anywhere from 10 days to two weeks to fabricate, as I made every component by hand. They're all one-of-a-kind pieces.
I'll always love creating these little characters from scratch. None of them are from molds or copies. They're all from my own mind, and that's what makes them so unique. You'll never see anyone else wearing the same exact one. To me, unique and one-of-a-kind will always be the coolest.
